Psychology 101:
(Our Brains & A Few Simple Things You Ought To Know About Them)
Know Thyself - & Get Out of The Cave
If you’re reading this you have a brain. Unless you’re an AI, or an OCR bot… but anyways that’s beside the point for now. You have a brain, and we have that in common.
While there are many variations between every brain, the general structure is roughly the same for all brains; we all have some overlapping psychologies (the ways we think and the way that thinking expresses itself as a personality in the world through our behaviors) that link us together as human beings.
These common traits can add a layer of semi-predictability to the world when we learn to recognize the patterns of thinking and behavior that we are all subjected to throughout a lifetime of experiences.
We can’t all be experts in the field of psychology, but we can all take the responsibility to learn about our own basic psychology so that we can perform at our mental best and help others to do the same, especially in times of stress and trauma that can be disruptive beyond a single individual’s ability to manage without support.
Psychology Theories Worth Studying:
Understanding basic psychology to then learn about your own personality can be helpful for navigating through life, especially if you believe in identifying your weaknesses so that you can use you strengths to overcome them.
